1-yr-old Trained LGD "Yeti"
Available for placement now, "Yeti" is one of the fully trained Guardian Angaloz we hand picked and have trained since he was 7 weeks old. Hailing from working lines in MO, he threw everyone for a loop when he emerged into this world as a pure white pup. Though he stands apart in color, don't let his innocent coloring fool you. He has proven to be alert, defensive, and bold.
Often the first one on the scene, he shows ambition and leadership qualities, though he knows how to show deference when an older, dominant dog demands respect. He would make a great addition to a welcoming pack, a companion to another LGD, or he will thrive on his own as the sole Guardian of your farmstead. Highly intelligent, he's the first one to figure out new tricks. Though LGDs are not necessarily known for the obedience expected of pet dogs, he does a fairly good job of listening to commands, following hand gestures, and intuitively knowing what you want him to do.
Yeti has proven himself to be content to guard chicken and poultry of all sizes, sheep, calves, and goats. He has shown exceptional agility and patience around the larger cows who try to push him around. He'll stand his ground if he must, but he has never harmed them.
If Yeti could speak he'd tell you there's nothing better in life than to spend it with the animals that need his protection. He is content and fulfilled in his purpose which he fully embraces.
