Livestock Protection

At Freewarden LGDs, we raise and train our “Guardian Angaloz” (pronounced ONG-gal-oz) for working farms, ranches, and homesteads that rely on exceptional dogs to protect their livestock investment. Raised alongside cows, sheep, pigs, and poultry on pasture, these dogs deter predators of all sizes—keeping them at bay or sending them running. Anatolian and Kangal bloodlines bring unmatched fierceness and loyalty, with a touch of Turkish Boz for size and temperament. Known as some of the few LGD breeds capable of facing American wolves and emerging victorious, they’re in high demand.
Calm and respectful with familiar humans, they’re not pets—they’re purpose-driven guardians. To strangers, they’re an immovable barrier between their “pack” and any threat. Intelligent and independent, these problem-solvers thrive without human oversight once mature (1+ years). They perform best in packs of 2 or more: a single dog suits light predator pressure on small homesteads, while 3-5 are ideal for larger operations with heavier threats.

Anatolian Shepherd X Kangal X Turkish Boz
Powerful blend of breeds for ultimate protection.
Puppies live with their mother in the dairy barn until 6 weeks old. From days 3-16, they undergo Early Neurological Stimulation (“Super Dog” training). At 6 weeks, after their first shots, they begin guardian and bonding training under the supervision of adult dogs, learning from their parents while forging lifelong ties with livestock. By 12 weeks, they’re ready to transition seamlessly to your herd or flock. Provide them with livestock, food, and water, and they’re content—these are not needy companions but self-sufficient protectors. From time to time we may have 8-12-month-old+, fully trained, adults that are ready to guard their own pack.
Fierce Protectors
Defend your farm with our loyal guardian dogs.

Anatolian and Kangal breeds, among the oldest known dogs, have been honed for 5,000-6,000 years to guard livestock. With the strongest bite force of any domestic breed (~743 PSI), females average 100-120 lbs and males 120-140 lbs. Our puppies hail from working bloodlines—not show lines—with instincts and drive coursing through their veins. Given the right guidance and environment, their genetics take over, ensuring your livestock’s safety for generations.
